Nassau County High School Seniors Awarded Berkeley College Scholarships
 
nylongisland1Berkeley College President Dario A. Cortes, PhD, has announced that 16 high school seniors from Nassau County, Long Island, have received Merit Scholarships to attend Berkeley College.
 
“It is an honor to recognize the academic accomplishments of these high school seniors by awarding them scholarships to attend Berkeley College,” said Dr. Cortes. “As a college that values diversity, fosters academic growth and recognizes the potential of each student, Berkeley College looks forward to welcoming these scholarship recipients to our campuses in the coming year.”
 
The following students from Nassau County have received scholarships to attend Berkeley College:

  • Jariely Batista, West Hempstead Senior High School
  • Leah Beneskenazi, Syosset High School
  • Amoni Brown, Uniondale High School
  • Angela Fiorito, Oceanside High School
  • Samantha Furino, H. Frank Carey High School
  • Dominique Garrett, Elmont Memorial Junior – Senior High School
  • Marissa Guercio, New Hyde Park Memorial High School
  • Kaniz Jaffer, Syosset High School
  • Lori Karp, W.C. Mepham High School
  • Natasha Lewis, Uniondale High School
  • Jose Perez Espinal, Baldwin Senior High School
  • Paul Salicean, Garden City Senior High School
  • Dominique Short, W. Tresper Clarke High School
  • Ananda Singh, Baldwin Senior High School
  • Nicole Vento, Locust Valley High School

Berkeley College scholarships are awarded annually to high school seniors who demonstrate a high level of achievement in high school. Scholarships are renewable based on the recipient’s cumulative grade point average of 3.00 at the end of each academic year and continued enrollment as a full-time student.
 
A leader in business education for 78 years, Berkeley College currently maintains an enrollment of over 7,200 students, with more than 700 international students in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree programs. The College has two New York campuses in Midtown Manhattan and White Plains, an Extension Center in Lower Manhattan in the Wall Street area, and four New Jersey campuses located in West Paterson, Paramus, Woodbridge, and Newark. In addition, the College offers Berkeley College Online and its Corporate Learning Partnership program. All campuses are accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
