Mahanaim Helps Usher In The Spring Season
2009 Gracias Spring Recital at Mahanaim Auditorium in Huntington
(Long Island, N.Y) Mahanaim, along with the help of Gracias Choir, plans on ringing in the new season with its annual Gracias Spring Recital, which will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at 7:00 PM.
This event will be Mahanaim’s second spring recital since its inception in the beginning of 2007. Mahanaim’s live music events have been a source of joy and delight for many music lovers, as well as an important way of developing its cultural and artistic rapport with the Huntington community.
In preparation, The Gracias Choir has been receiving continuous masterclass instruction from some of the greatest music artists in Russia, further enhancing their delightful stage presence. Mahanaim has been anticipating this event since last autumn, and is proud to present a recital that showcases such a high-level of musical technique and artistic expression.
“The Gracias Choir just keeps on getting better, concert after concert,” said one concert guest. “I’m eager to come out and see them again, and I know I won’t be disappointed. After concerts like these, my friends and I always say, we feel the love and passion these young people have not only for music, but for life, and it’s really refreshing.”
Among Gracias’ diverse repertoire, the Recital will include:

The 2009 Gracias Spring Recital will be a one-night engagement only. Admission is free to the public. Free parking is also available on a first-come first-serve basis. Mahanaim Auditorium is located on Mahanaim’s main campus, off of Woodhull Road, at the intersection of Woodhull Road, Nassau Road, and Route 110, in Huntington, NY. The Gracias Choir is a world renowned group of musicians that focus their performances on heart-to-heart connections with their audiences in order to convey the overflowing thankfulness they have towards God. The Gracias Choir is made up of individuals formerly in despair and hopelessness, but have since emerged with a newfound hope and love for God, which they translate into joyous and beautiful praises. The Gracias Choir has taken their refined and diverse repertoire to many world-famous stages, including the Sydney Opera House, Waikiki Shell in Hawaii, Seoul City Hall, Hammerstein Ballroom at the Manhattan Center, Madison Square Garden, and the Gran Teatro del Banco Central del Paraguay where they performed in front of the Paraguayan President.
