Dr. Keri Chiappino DC, DACNB Appointed to American Chiropractic Autism Board
New Organization Advocates Bionutritional Care For Children on the Autism Spectrum
(Smithtown, N.Y.) – The newly formed American Chiropractic Autism Board (ACAB) has added Chiropractic Neurologist and Defeat Autism Now! Practitioner Dr. Keri Chiappino to its Board of Advisers. With this appointment, Dr. Chiappino joins a diverse group of physicians and other specialists in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorders whose mission is to provide world-class Bionutritional care for the autism community.
Formed in 2008, the ACAB recognizes the fact that those diagnosed with autism often suffer with underlying biological conditions. In addition to a genetic predisposition, those on the spectrum are often found to have food sensitivities, nutritional deficiencies, chronic infections, heavy metal toxicity, and immune dysfunction. The Bionutritional approach advocates non-drug therapies and supports specialized diets and nutritional supplementation for autism treatment.
“It is an honor to be among a progressive group of autism professionals who share a strategic vision of promoting a natural model of autism treatment that provides hope for children with autism and their families,” said Dr. Chiappino. “The members of this distinguished board have expertise in many different aspects of autism and support a non-invasive, alternative approach. I am pleased to represent the chiropractic neurological profession and to join the ACAB in the pursuit of bringing Bionutritional care to the forefront of autism treatment.”
Dr. Renee Tocco, DC and founder of the ACAB adds, “Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related illnesses need chiropractic care in addition to other Bionutritional therapies because of their unique challenges. The care these children so desperately need rebuilds their body and is in perfect alignment with the vitalistic philosophy that chiropractors embrace. Through the ACAB, we are bringing all the current solutions to the table. This is an evolving art and science. As we discover more about the mechanisms by which these children are injured, we commit to bringing it to the chiropractic community. The doctor of chiropractic is positioned to lead in autism care unlike any other physician.”
The ACAB is sponsoring Hope for Autism, a Bionutritional care seminar May 15-17 in Charleston, SC for parents, educators, and those seeking evidence-based information on testing, diets, and therapies for autism treatment. Also included is a one day seminar on vaccination risk and a Bionutritional care training conference designed specifically for chiropractors.
