Long Island Artist Susan Tiffen
Featured at Apple Bank Exhibition June 16, 2009 – August 17, 2009
(Long Island, N.Y.) Smithtown Township Arts Council is pleased to announce that the works of Long Island artist Susan Tiffen will be on view at Apple Bank, 91 Route 111, Smithtown, June 16, 2009 – August 17, 2009. The exhibition, part of STAC’s Outreach Gallery Program, can be viewed during regular bank hours.
Susan Tiffen grew up on Long Island, raised two sons in Centerport, and now lives in Nassau County. Originally a potter, she has also designed a line of wallpaper, and learned computer graphics for her employment. Later, when she bought her first digital camera after her film camera was stolen, she attended a Photoshop seminar that profoundly affected her creative outlook: “My world as an artist changed. It all comes together through the lens of my camera.” Her photographs have been exhibited at galleries across Long Island and at The Aurora Gallery in Annapolis, Maryland.
STAC is grateful to Apple Bank for its continued support of culture in our communities.
