LIPA and Lindenhurst Schools Unveil the Largest School Solar Project in Suffolk County
(Lindenhurst, N.Y.) – The Long Island Power Authority, the Lindenhurst School District, and various key Long Island elected officials and environmental groups will announce the completion of seven solar power systems installed in the Lindenhurst School District, as well as a host of energy-efficient measures and upgrades. LIPA President and CEO Kevin S. Law will be joined by Congressman Steve Israel and Babylon Town Supervisor Steve Bellone to award school officials with a $315,000 rebate for the school district’s participation in LIPA’s Solar Entrepreneur Program which helped mitigate costs for the energy-efficient project.
