Long Island Rough Riders Men Look To Inch Closer To Playoffs
(Plainview, N.Y.) – The Long Island Rough Riders men’s team will host divisional rival, the Ocean City Barons (5-2-1, 16 pts.), Tuesday night at 7PM at Cy Donnelly Stadium at St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington.
Currently undefeated in their last eight games, the first-place Rough Riders (9-1-1, 28 pts.) will look to avenge their only loss of the season suffered at the hands of the Barons back in May. It’s an important week of games for the Rough Riders as they’ll be traveling to Ottawa on Sunday for a rematch with the Fury, whom they tied on Saturday night.
With only a handful of games remaining in the 2009 PDL season, the Rough Riders men are looking to return to the postseason for the first time since 2003, when they were a part of USL-2.
