North Shore Synagogue Offers Service For The Soul; T’fillat HaNeshamah Services

During uncertain times, when it seems as if all the news is bad and the week is long and difficult, Friday evenings are a time to stop, to take a deep breath, and a spiritual rest from the often overwhelming demands of work, responsibilities and worries.  This year, North Shore Synagogue is proud to offer T’fillat HaNeshamah—a spa for the soul. Offered on the fourth Friday night of each month, T’fillat HaNeshamah is a Shabbat service built for relaxation and rejuvenation.  Services begin at 8:00 PM, to allow attendees to arrive home, enjoy a leisurely dinner, and then come to North Shore Synagogue.   The November service will take place on Friday, November 27 at 8:00 PM, 83 Muttontown Road, Syosset, NY 11791.  For information, call 516-921-2282.
 
When you enter the tranquil, inviting atmosphere of our sanctuary for T’fillat HaNeshamah, you will find yourself greeted by the soft music and warm glow of the Sabbath candles. Throughout the evening, moments of community intermingle with moments of solitude to both calm and rejuvenate.  As you let the ancient words with soothing harmonies wash over you, enjoy the feeling of “letting go” of the past week. Restore balance to your mind and soul with moving melodies and stirring readings. T’fillat HaNeshamah is where our sanctuary becomes your personal sacred space.
