The Slomo And Cindy Silvan Foundation, Inc. Gives Hope To The American Cancer Society
(Syosset, N.Y.) The Nassau County Office of the American Cancer Society has been granted $5,000 by The Slomo and Cindy Silvian Foundation, Inc., to help fund the cost of patients and caregivers who need the services of Hope Lodge New York City. These services are provided by the American Cancer Society and funded through the generosity of donors. The Hope Lodge in New York City is located close to Penn Station on 32nd Street and provides lodging free of charge for cancer patients receiving active treatment and their caregiver in Manhattan.
Hope Lodge NYC is a state of the art environmentally friendly “green” building, similar to a top notch hotel with 60 private rooms, a meditation room, large family lounge, kitchen, library, computer resource center, outdoor terrace and kitchens and laundry facilities on each of the guest floors. Hope Lodge offers a safe and welcoming atmosphere with many caring staff and volunteer members, various therapy type programs and activities and most importantly, other people staying at Hope Lodge going through similar experiences for support.
The American Cancer Society is grateful to The Slomo and Cindy Silvian Foundation for their support and commitment.
