(Riverhead, N.Y.) – Calling all artists, writers, photographers, graphic designers, sculptors, creative persons. You have a talent—a creative ability that others desire, covet, and need. Do you know enough about the bundle of rights you have to adequately protect them? Join Carol Steinberg, an attorney practicing in NYC and on the East End attorney, for a talk covering the most frequently asked questions on copyright for all types of artists on March 20, from 1 – 3:30 p.m. at the East End Arts Council’s Carriage House studio.
Some of the topics covered will include an overview of copyright, and frequently asked artist questions, such as: Have I inadvertently signed away my rights? Am I really in control of my web site? Can I safely put my work on Facebook? In this digital age and these tough economic times, artists and creative workers need to be aware of their legal rights to protect their own “creative capital”.
