Professional Development for Artists: Golden New Products Demonstration with Artist Roy Kinzer
 
(Riverhead, N.Y.) –  Experience the vast potential and versatility of Golden acrylic gels, texturizers, mediums, the new ‘Open’ acrylics and Digital Media products in this informative workshop for artists, held on Friday, March 26 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the East End Arts Council’s Carriage House art studio. Artist and Golden representative Roy Kinzer will use an example of his own work and discuss his painting process, covering a wide variety of Golden products. Learn how gels and mediums can extend paint and create unique textural surfaces. Explore Grounds that create surfaces for watercolors, graphite, charcoal, pencil, pastels and silverpoint. Two exciting new product lines will be introduced: OPEN, a slow-drying acrylic paint; and Digital Mixed Media products that allow you to merge digital printing with paint. The lecture also covers the lightfast properties of pigments, proper acrylic priming techniques, and health and safety concerns. Free packet of literature and paint samples.
 
Roy Kinzer has an M.F.A. (Vermont College) and a Certificate of Art (Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art). He is a Pollock-Krasner award winner (2004) and has exhibited extensively, including at the Slater Museum in Connecticut and the Montclair Art Museum in New Jersey. His current paintings are aerial landscapes derived from altered maps and satellite images.
