Nassau Sheriffs Association To Host Motorcycle And Car Show
Funds to Support Nassau Widows and Children’s Fund
(Hicksville, N.Y.) On Sunday, August 1, 2010, the Nassau County Sheriff Officers Association, along with the Kevin S. Meyer Allstate Insurance, the New York Auto Fest and friends, family and members of the community, will host a fundraiser Motorcycle Ride followed by a Classic Car Show to support the Nassau County Sheriff Officers Association’s Widows and Children’s Fund.
The 2nd Annual Motorcycle Run will feature more than 100 motorcycles and will begin with a police escort from the starting location at 60 Charles Lindbergh Boulevard in Uniondale. The mass of riders and supporters will cruise the 32 miles to the Classic/Muscle Car Show at Bald Hill in Farmingville. The car show will showcase classic and muscle cars from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s and will feature raffles, prizes and food. Entertainment at Bald Hill will include WBAB, the Ed Travers Band featuring The Best of Jimmy Buffett, and the Kerry Kearney Band.
Registration for the Motorcycle Ride is $20.00 and includes admission to the car show. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.; the riders will depart at 9:45 a.m. The Classic Car Show at Bald Hill will open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 3:00 p.m.; entrance to the car show is $5.00, free for children 12 and under.
