Mortgage Modification Legislation Aimed At Holding Banks Responsible
State Senator Jeff Klein, Assemblymember Hakeem Jeffries and City Council Member Brad Lander propose legislation to hold banks accountable
(New York, N.Y.) On Wednesday, August 25th 2010, in the midst of the unrelenting foreclosure crisis, the New York State and City legislature will hold a press conference on the steps of City Hall to outline legislation aimed at holding banks responsible for vacant homes.
New York State Senator Jeff Klein, Assemblymember Hakeem Jeffries, City Council Member Brad Lander and New York Communities for Change (NYCC) spearheaded efforts to hold banks accountable for all of the properties that the banks foreclose on in New York.
The details of the proposed legislation will be discussed during the press conference.
