Horse Enthusiasts Support Breast Cancer Program
News from the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program
(Long Island, N.Y.) Horse lovers (and their horses) and hikers are invited to the Second Annual Breast Cancer Benefit Ride/Hike of New York Natural Equestrians to be held on Sunday, October 17, from 10 am to 2 pm at Connetquot State Park in Oakdale.
This event will benefit the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program.
Last year horseback riders and hikers came from all across Long Island to enjoy the miles of beautiful trails awash with fall colors. “The event was a huge success, raising almost $10,000, all of which went directly to assist breast cancer patients and their families right here at home,” says Lisa Wolf, one of New York Natural Equestrians directors and co-chair of the event. “We are happy to be able to combine the best of Long Island trail riding while at the same time raising money for a great cause.”
Refreshments and a Chinese Auction are also part of the day. For more information, or to register for the event and receive a sponsorship sheet, please contact Lisa Wolf at promogal1965@aol.com or call 631.742.0890.
Established in 2000, The New York Natural Equestrians are dedicated to using and promoting Natural Horsemanship training methods to foster safe, enjoyable and respectful relationships between horse and human, enabling riders to ride whenever they want, wherever they want, with whomever they want, at any gait they want…safely.
