Elmont Memorial Public Library Proudly Welcomes The United Choral Society To Honor The Tenth Anniversary of 9/11
The Elmont Memorial Public Library is proud to invite the United Choral Society to perform on September 11, 2011 at 2pm in the Elmont Memorial Library Theatre. Please join us for this majestic tribute performance at the tenth anniversary of the tragic events that mark September 11, 2001. As we remember the events of that historic day, the musical selections presented by United Choral will instill pride and gratitude in every heart.
Under the direction of current conductor, Sharon Pesenti, the United Choral Society continues as a fellowship of musically inclined individuals who have studied and performed music for their enjoyment and for that of the community. For over 69 years, the United Choral Society has supported scholarships, competitions, war bonds in the 1940’s, benefit concerts, open rehearsals, and summer-sings for the community. To enhance their concert performances, United Choral engages a professional conductor, a piano accompanist, professional soloists and instrumentalists.
The September 11, 2011 performance at the Elmont Memorial Library Theatre continues the United Choral Society’s tradition of benefiting the community by lifting spirits with music and song. The Elmont Memorial Public Library is honored to share this very special concert with the community and hopes that many will join in this admission free event.
