Wisselman, Harounian & Associates hosted a complimentary SAME SEX COUPLES LEGAL CLINIC on Tuesday, August 16th for approximately 23 gay couples and individuals, addressing many new issues and questions that have arisen since the law was enacted. The firm will be hosting a second meeting on Wednesday, October 12th, and all are welcome to attend. It is important for people to learn about the rights and restrictions that exist in a same-sex marriage. Although it is now legal in New York State, same sex unions are still not recognized by the majority of other states, or by the Federal government.
