77-Year-Old Mature Single To Speak To Seniors At Rockville Centre Library

Long Island Press Releases & News

Beverly Munter, Seniors Life Coach & Motivational Speaker, addresses single seniors about love, friendship and intimacy

On Tuesday, November 15, 2011, from 7PM – 8:30PM, Beverly Munter will conduct a multimedia presentation for seniors 65 and older entitled, “The Joys of Finding Love, Friendship and Yes, Intimacy, Again: Let’s Take Your Private Side Public.” The program will take place at the Rockville Centre Public Library, 221 N. Village Avenue, Rockville Centre, NY 11570. The event is free.

Through a combination of humor and insight, Beverly Munter explores seniors’ attitudes and experiences about re-entering the social scene, and providing ideas and suggestions about new ways of finding companionship and love again.

After 51 years of marriage, Beverly Munter became a widow. After navigating the usual route of attending bereavement groups, followed by seniors’ get-togethers, she dove into the world of computer dating. In her stimulating seminar, Beverly shares her adventures of being thrown back into singlehood and finding love and happiness again. She also introduces videotaped interviews of 10 other senior singles, who open up and tell their personal stories and dating experiences.

Combining her 35 years as an executive in business with what she has learned in the “new” singles scene, Beverly coaches and revitalizes seniors so as to enable them to take advantage of the years of opportunity still before them. The program encourages them to find new hobbies, attend classes, and meet new friends and life partners.

“I attended the Jericho and East Meadow events and it was packed,” said Pearl Lewis, 82. “Beverly was hysterical, and it showed me how many single seniors are out there hungry for information and a fun evening.”

“I was too active a person to just shut down, to say, ‘Well, this is the only guy I had in my life,’ said Beverly Munter. “I wanted to see what life had to offer.”

Beverly entertains audiences through her wit and wisdom. Her unique perspective and gift of storytelling causes people to laugh at life while learning at the same time. The presentation will leave her audience of senior singles with a message they can apply immediately to their own lives.
