Walk Celebrates St. Mary’s 140th Year Anniversary While Raising Funds and Awareness for Special Needs Families
 
(Long Island, NY) Amicus Creative Media LLC, a leading legal marketing firm and website developer based in Manhasset, Long Island, has united their employees, friends and family to support the 8th Annual Walk for St. Mary’s Kids on Sunday, May 20th at Fort Totten Park in Bayside, NY.
 
It didn’t take long for Amicus employees to become inspired by St. Mary’s long-standing history of providing the best pediatric care after a visit to St. Mary’s Hospital during the holidays last year. Bearing toys and holiday gifts, the group visited St. Mary’s Kids and quickly learned about the hospital’s extraordinary children and care.
 
“When we arrived we learned of all of the amazing work that St. Mary’s does and were really impressed with the happy, festive environment that was created for these great children, said Victoria Stovall, VP of Operations and Client Relations at Amicus. You got the real feeling that this place was a nurturing environment where despite injury or illness, these children could just be kids and recover in a fun, supportive environment. When we left, we were all really inspired and knew we wanted to partake in the walk.”
 
The Amicus group has started a Walk team and is working hard to raise funds for special needs Kids. They are also busy soliciting friends and family to join their efforts.
 
Thousands of patients, staff, families and community members are expected at the 8th Annual Walk for St. Mary’s Kids to help raise funds and awareness for children and families with special needs while celebrating a huge milestone in St. Mary’s history- Its 140th Year Anniversary.
 
St. Mary’s began caring for New York City’s most vulnerable children in 1872 and since has become one of the premier providers of intensive rehabilitation, specialized medical care and education for over 4,000 children with complex medical and life-limiting conditions.
