IRadio Is Ready To Rock The House

Long Island Press Releases & News

For Angela’s House

(Bohemia, NY) April 29, 2012. The first ever concert in benefit of the Hauppauge-based non-profit Angela’s House will be held on June 3rd. The event, entitled “Rock the House,” will be held at Middle Country Beer Garden at 1702 Middle Country Road in Centereach. The main event will run from 1:00 pm thru 8:00 but the house will rock to 11pm. There will be rolling admissions; come for a little while to see your favorite band or come spend the day with us. Tickets are $20 with kids getting in free.

The night is being sponsored by Long Island’s growing #1 Internet radio station, iradiouse.com. Producer and DJ, Vincent Cashin, will be hosting the event. Cashin has a personal relationship with the non-profit, as the foundation assisted him and his family with their son Zachary. Cashin’s son unfortunately passed away in August 2009 at the age of 12.  “Since I got into Internet radio and started meeting local talent, I started thinking. And I saw what Bob was doing with Angela’s House and I thought ‘let me give something back,’” stated Cashin.

The bands that will be rocking out through the night include Bottoms Up, Joe Bayer Band, Big Hair Daze, Youth Be Told, I Ignite, Electric Mayhem, and 50 miles 2 frequency.  Cashin stated that the interest to take part of the concert was extraordinary, many of the bands immediately jumped on, and ones that couldn’t attend were disappointed. “I’ve gotten a great reception from the bands, who are very, very generous with their time and effort,” said Cashin.

WRCN will also take part with Bill Powers and other guest DJ’s to appear. Cashin has no problem to bring in another station to take part of the event, because “in the end, it’s about Angela’s House.” WRCN has taken part and hosted events in the past for Angela’s house.

Attendees will be served food and will have the opportunity to take part in raffles and Chinese auctions throughout the night. Kids will be able to enjoy a bounce house and slide.

Cashin is expecting the event to be a success, especially from all the positive feedback he’s heard so far. He hopes to make the concert a yearly benefit Angela’s House; “I would like to blow Woodstock out of the water!”
