LI Breast Cancer Summit To Be Held At Carlyle On The Green

(Long Island, N.Y.) Join hundreds of breast cancer advocates and dozens of support groups at Long Island’s Breast Cancer Summit which will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Carlyle on the Green, Farmingdale. Attendees will learn about the latest innovations and medical discoveries in breast cancer treatment, along with new legislation and services provided by Federal, State, and County Governments.
Keynote speaker: Dean G. Skelos, New York State Majority Senate Leader and Kemp Hannon New York State Senate Health Chair
Along with: Edward P. Mangano, Nassau County Executive; Rose Walker, Nassau County Legislature Health Chair; and Dr. William R. Spencer, Suffolk County Legislature Health Chair
A special Lifetime Cancer Advocacy and Health Achievement Award will be presented to retiring Unites States Congressman Gary Ackerman for his work two decades ago in leading congressional hearings and assisting in getting the nation’s first Breast Cancer Study.
