Ross School Marks 20^th Anniversary with 9th Annual Gala at Club Starlight to Benefit Steven J Ross Scholarship Fund with Special Musical Performance by Grammy Award Winner Roberta Flack

(Long Island, N.Y) Ross School will mark its 20th anniversary with the ninth annual Live at Club Starlight benefit to raise funds for Ross School programs and scholarships, including the Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund. Courtney Sale Ross, Founder of Ross School, will be honored for her vision, dedication and support of the entire Ross community.

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by dinner, a live auction and musical performance by Grammy Award winning artist, Roberta Flack.

Courtney Sale Ross and her late husband, Steven J. Ross, recognized that preparing students to meet the challenges of the 21st century required pioneering models that would transform education. Mrs. Ross and her vision for Ross School attract many of the best scholars from around the world to embrace the challenge of designing a global, integrated curriculum that addresses the changing realities of the future. Over the last 20 years, Ross School has become a leading laboratory for educational excellence.

The Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund, was established in 1991 at the School’s inception by Mr. and Mrs. Ross, and ensures that all children have the opportunity to benefit from a Ross School education regardless of economic circumstances. The SJR Scholarship Fund granted financial assistance to over 45% of Ross School students during the 2010–11 academic years.
