PRPLI To Host Public Relations Boot Camp

(Long Island, NY) Public Relations Professionals of Long Island (PRPLI) will host “Pitching to Niche Media/Catching Great Images” on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 8:00AM to 1:15 PM at Adelphi University Hauppauge Center, 55 Kennedy Drive, Hauppauge.
Many public relations seminars feature valuable information on social media, branding, media pitching, and more. Public Relations practitioners attending PRPLI’s half-day boot camp will have the opportunity to gain “extra” fundamental skills via four unique workshops:
“Engaging Hispanic Media” feature KC David Hentry, Telenoticias, an experienced communicator who advances corporation’s ability to leverage digital and video marketing with public relations strategies so the resulting communication engages them to take action and Monica Talan, senior vice president, Corporate Communications for Univision will share this panel. Second area covered will be “Niche Publications” with Alan Wax. The third discussion is about “Creating a High Quality Video on a Low Budget” featuring Waldo Cabrea of My LITV.com where he has created over 500 episodes of the “My Long Island TV”. Mr. Cabrea has worked with companies including Fox, HBO, Time Warner, Viacom, The NY Daily News, WalMart and McDonald’s. The final session “Photography Tips for PR Professionals” features Angela Marshall, interactive production manager at Nassau Boces Communications Office.
