Waiting for the Shoe to Drop
(Long Island, NY) The nonprofit sector is at a crossroads. Governmental changes, especially in an election year, coupled with the seemingly everlasting economic recession, continue to put a damper on the sector and challenge the way nonprofits conduct their business. In such a difficult environment, the sharing of knowledge, ideas, data, and experiences will help to move the sector forward. In order to gather the information necessary to effectuate productive collaboration and sector growth, Cerini & Associates, LLP has released the questionnaire for its 9th Annual Nonprofit Survey.
Last year, the survey yielded 171 responses. In an effort to improve the response rate and the effectiveness of the Survey as a benchmarking and trending tool, Cerini & Associates, LLP has proudly partnered with Pilot Employee Benefits; The Finance Department; the Long Island Volunteer Center; Long Island Business News; Dayton & Sydney Wealth Strategies Group, LLC; and the Association of Fundraising Professionals to launch an updated version of the survey that introduces critical questions on the financial health of the nonprofit sector.
Survey responses are due Friday, September 14, 2012, with the final results to be tabulated and distributed in time for Philanthropy Day on November 18, 2012. The survey can be completed online at survey.ceriniandassociates.com, or if you prefer a hard copy via email or fax, please contact Theresa Weston at tweston@ceriniandassociates.com. Help us and our partners create a valuable benchmark that can assist you to effectively run your organization.
