LONG ISLAND COMMUNITY NEWS RELEASES

For Immediate Release: July 9, 2012

Art Galleries In The Digital Age

Long Island Press Releases & News

Featuring Greenport Galleries & Colin Goldberg

(Long Island, NY)  East End Arts is pleased to announce July’s installment of the Third Thursdays Arts-in-Community Series at Brecknock Hall, located at One Brecknock Road, Greenport, to be held on Thursday, July 19 at 6:30 PM. East End Arts will host Greenport Gallery owners, as well as Colin Goldberg, artist and digital marketing professional, in a discussion of “Art Galleries in the Digital Age”. Artists and art galleries are facing some new challenges with the constant changes in technology, particularly in the last five years alone. We will be exploring how social media and the digital age can be very positive tools for marketing, networking, and promotion for artists and art galleries. This FREE event is open to the public.

The East End Arts School is very pleased to present this series of Arts-in-Community forums and presentations on the third Thursday of every month, at the magnificent and historic Brecknock Hall in Greenport (One Brecknock Road). A similar series is held the First Friday of each month at East End Arts’ main campus on East Main Street in Riverhead, NY. For more information about the Third Thursdays event series, call 631-369-2171.

First Fridays and Third Thursdays are made possible, in part, by the Miracle-Gro Fund––a donor-advised fund at the Long Island Community Foundation. For more information, visit www.licf.org.

For more information, contact the East End Arts School at 631-369-2171 or visit www.eastendarts.org.

East End Arts, established in 1972, is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit arts organization, and operates a School of the Arts, an Art Gallery, and presents a variety of events and programs to promote the arts year-round. Proceeds from all events, sales, classes, donations, and memberships benefit the mission and commitment to building and enriching our community through the arts by way of education, support, advocacy, and inspiration.
