New York Based Author Reminisces on his Encounters with the Rich and Famous in New Book
(New York, NY) Having once had aspirations of becoming an actor and enjoying a true passion for films most of his life, Author Vincent Casale, A.K.A The Coparazzi (an East Harlem born and Flushing, Queens raised retired NYPD officer) saw it as a dream come true when he was sent to work on the NYPD’s Movie-TV Unit in 1989. Casale’s exposure to the world of “New York Street Scene” film making and the actors and actresses that make up this cherished society including Al Pacino, Peter Boyle, Robert DeNiro, Sharon Stone, Sarah Jessica Parker and hundreds more, are the basis for his first book, a memoir aptly entitled, The Coparazzi.

His recollections and tales of his personal contact with the many film stars of yesterday and today prove to be entertaining and absorbing to the reader, as well. Each famous person he met, a photo was taken for posterity, and by the 100th celebrity pic, it was clear that Vinny had made his mark as a true original – The Coparazzi: part Police Officer, part celebrity photo hound!!
“The Coparazzi takes the reader behind the yellow tape of scores of movies and TV shows shot on the streets of NYC. From his unique perspective, Casale shows the reader how it’s done and we see virtually every major actor in unguarded, off camera, and entirely human moments” wrote Ed Dee, retired NYPD Lt, and author of The Con Man’s Daughter. “The author writes with the infectious enthusiasm of a movie fan, but he sees with the clear eyes of a cop. It makes for a great combination and a great read”.
