Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence is teaming up with The Barclays
 
(Long Island, NY) The Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (LICADD) is excited to announce another opportunity to support its many life-saving programs. LICADD is teaming up with The Barclays for their upcoming TICKETS Fore CHARITY fundraiser – a unique fundraising initiative designed to improve the quality of life in the communities where PGA TOUR and Champions Tour tournaments are held.
 
The Barclays, the first event in the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedEx Cup, will be held from Aug. 21-26 at Bethpage State Park’s Black Course in Farmingdale.  Golf aficionados and supporters of LICADD will have an opportunity to purchase tickets to the event knowing that 75% percent of each ticket sale will go directly to the organization.  Tickets are available for $150 at www.buytfc.com, and LICADD will receive $112.50 per ticket each time a participant enters the code 2IRON at checkout.

Long Island is currently in the midst of a public health epidemic, as our communities are devastated by the senseless loss of life as a result of heroin overdoses, drunk-driving fatalities, and prescription drug abuse.   Participants who purchase tickets with the code 2IRON can enjoy the Playoffs knowing that proceeds of their ticket cost are directly supporting LICADD’s many education, prevention and support programs for children and families struggling with alcohol and drug addiction, that work to end this cycle.
