(Hicksville, N.Y.) – In response to the urgent call for help, Westy Self Storage is hosting a donation drive to assist the victims of Hurricane Sandy.  The Westy Self Storage centers in Long Island are designated drop off locations for donations.  In addition to collection, Westy will also provide temporary storage for the donations and deliver them via Westy trucks with Family-to-Family, Inc. to the areas most affected by the storm.

Family-to-Family is a nonprofit hunger relief organization dedicated to connecting, one-to-one, families with “more” to impoverished families with profoundly less. Along with providing immediately needed supplies, Family-to-Family is helping hurricane victims over the long term by matching donors with individual families devastated by the hurricane.  Donors will help their assigned family get back on their feet by sending whatever household items are most needed over the coming months.

Westy Self Storage, together with Family-to-Family, will be collecting pillows, pillow cases, blankets, mops, brooms, buckets, shovels, batteries, work gloves, winter gloves, contractor garbage bags, pails, crow bars, sledge hammers and storage bins. Please join our recovery effort as your donation will help disaster victims rebuild their lives and their communities. For your convenience, Westy Self Storage centers in Farmingdale, Hicksville and Lake Success are all designated drop off points for donations.
