12th Annual Youth Conference on Anti-Bullying To Be Held At LIU Post

LIU Post will host Our Kids in Action 12th Annual Youth Conference on Anti-Bullying at LIU Post on December 7th 2012 at 9:00 AM
(Long Island, N.Y.) Approximately 1600 middle school students and teachers will visit LIU Post to hear messages about anti-bullying at the Our Kids in Action Annual Youth Conference.
Various speakers will deliver anti-bullying remarks, including motivational speaker and former NFL player Keith Davis. After injury took him out of the NY Giants preseason, the Rose Bowl Champion devoted himself to speaking at schools about the importance of being a good person and good student. Fourteen-year old singer, songwriter and Long Island native Lexxi Saal will perform at the conference for the second year in a row and address the crowd of students about her philanthropic project LexxiLoves.org.
Our Kids in Action is a nonprofit organization that partners with the business community, elected officials, civic leaders, educators and parents to promote character education, wellness, and leadership skills for Long Island middle school students. OKIA was established by Action Long Island in 2000.
The Conference will be held between 8:30 and 11 a.m. in LIU Post’s Pratt Recreation Center.
Admission to the event is free of charge for Long Island middle school students and their teachers.
