Craft Beer Experience to Open in Patchogue; Hoptron Brewtique Grand Opening

Long Island Press Releases & News

GRAND OPENING OF HOPTRON BREWTIQUE IN PATCHOGUE FRIDAY NOVEMBER 3OTH

(Patchogue, N.Y.) – The fast-growing village of Patchogue will continue its surge this month as two young entrepreneurs open what, undoubtedly, will be one of the most unique new establishments in Long Island, the Hoptron Brewtique. The tavern and retail store will have its grand opening Friday, November 30th at noon.

Hoptron Brewtique is the brainchild of Amanda Danielsen, 35, and Succety Lara, 30; both of Miller Place. Close friends for nearly a decade, the pair met while working together at another business Danielsen owns, Zenith Abstract, LLC, a title insurance company also located in Patchogue, NY.  Wanting to embrace the culture of beer in America with an emphasis on supporting local craft beer, Danielsen and Lara created a business they could run that would be both educational and fun.

“This is going to be like a vineyard on the East End,” said Danielsen, as she showed off her 2,200 square-foot store front located in heart of downtown Patchogue.

Hoptron will be all about Long Island craft beer. There will be sixteen taps available for flights, pints, and growler fills.

“I thought this concept would work well in Patchogue”, said Danielsen, referring to the upscale shops and entertainment venues that have sprung up in the village in the last decade or so. She continued, “Patchogue can handle this”.

The “Brewtique”will also house a full selection of specialty bottles for purchase, including a“mix-a-six” section where guests can create their own six packs. Future plans include hosting a variety of beer events, such as: tastings, food pairings, brewing clinics, home brewing contests and beer club meetings. Hoptron Brewtique also plans to offer weekly classes that will educate customers on the art that is craft beer.

“We hope to be a favorite spot for the beer geek and an educational resource for those who don’t yet know they love good beer. And what better way to experience Long Island than through fantastic and diverse beer,” said Lara.

Doors open for service for the first time this Friday at 12pm, with a special beer on cask provided by Blue Point Brewery available at 6pm. A traditional “ribbon cutting”ceremony will take place on Saturday, December 8th at 1pm, led by Mayor Paul Pontieri.
