Good Samaritan Hospital Promotes Nurse
(West Islip, N.Y.) – Elisabeth Vallone, RN, MS, was recently promoted to Director of Critical Care Services for Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. Vallone joined Good Samaritan in 1986 and brings more than 20 years of clinical expertise in medical, surgical and cardiac step-down and leadership to her new role. She is a former recipient of the prestigious Scollard Award for outstanding leadership and has held positions as staff nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager and Nurse Manager.
Most recently, Vallone served as the Nurse Manager of a 25-bed medical intensive care unit where she built relationships across all departments and contributed to improvements in clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

In her role as Director of Critical Care Services, she will be responsible for administrative and clinical decisions and will collaborate with other department heads to identify and solve problems in the best interest of the patients.
Vallone holds a bachelor’s degree of science in nursing from Molloy College and a master’s of science in nursing administration from Adelphi University. She resides in West Babylon with her husband, Steve, and her daughter, Annarose.
