The Nor'easter of Dec 11-14,1992..


Great storm,one of my favorites.Had no measurable snow here on Long Island but the winds were very strong 50-70mph (in my area),but the worst of the storm was definatly the tidal flooding for 5 or 6 straight cycles.The flooding was severe,the worst I have seen in this area.

I tend to remember the storm of Feb, 6, 1078 as much more significant - shut down LI for at least a week ... and since - not much in term so of intensity ... thanx for the subject area ... ms ...
