Hi Folks,

We wanted to remind you about a much-anticipated performance coming up just shortly into the New Year.  Although we’ve been rehearsing weekly for some time now, we don’t actually do many live shows at all (historically, at best two shows a year).  So each show is a bit of a musical “event”.  The band’s last two performances were at sold-out large hall auditorium/theater venues -- but we’ve decided to try something very different this time.  We hope the cool concept and hip venue will help convince you to sneak out for an enjoyable evening of gourmet food, a large full-service bar, stellar live entertainment, and good company.  It’s a much smaller venue than usual so you may want to get your tickets now (really).

New music and new visuals have been added – things are fresh and evolving -- and we’re real excited about this upcoming show starting off the New Year in 2008 !

So why not get out of the house for something unique and totally different, step outside of the box, take a ride, come out and enjoy some live music, say hello and catch up, bring some old friends, meet some new friends – including the under-the-radar high-quality affordable music crowd of Long Island (and surrounding states) – all that.  Enjoy a superb dinner and then a top-notch performance of music you grew up with.  There’s something in this show for everyone.

We'd love to hear that you’re coming on January 11th, and we’d also love to hear what you think about the music – or just tell us that you're out there!

Thanks again for your support of this show -- it will be a magical night for sure.

Peace and music,

Rob, Rob, Pat, Pat, Glenn (AFTERLIFE)

AFTERLIFE:  Progressive Rock Returns

From the first wave of Symphonic prog innovators like YES, Genesis, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer in the early 1970s to the New World/Art prog bands such as Kansas, UK, and Rush in the late 1970s and early 1980s, AFTERLIFE pays tribute to the seminal period of progressive rock with spot-on performances of hallmark tunes from the masters.  With nods to the Proto-prog of Deep Purple and the contemporary Metal-prog of Dream Theater, AFTERLIFE also weaves Journey, Jefferson Starship and Led Zeppelin into an eclectic mix of classics.

AFTERLIFE recreates the sounds, textures, and aura from the golden era of the genre by taking the audience on a journey back in time featuring a full light show, atmospheric visual effects and stage sculptures -- combined with state-of-the-art full-fidelity stereo sound.  The band faithfully reproduces the studio versions of these classic releases in a live performance.  AFTERLIFE reconstructs the music note for note  from the ELP interpretation of Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, to the songs of YES including Starship Trooper and Heart of the Sunrise.

Don’t miss this group of five homegrown Long Island musicians performing live at unique venues near you.  For younger folks, this is what it was like to be there in that magical decade … and those who have been there will be transported back ...
