Daniel Orama is founding artistic director of The Orama Theater Company. Daniel has more than thirteen years of experience in the performing arts industry. In addition to his role as director, Daniel works as composer, actor and leading tenor for The Orama Theater Company. Daniel’s portfolio also includes studying under Mark Pearson of the New England Conservatory, and working with Doris Lang Kosloff and Dora Ohrenstein. He also studied with Metropolitan tenor Dan Marek of Mannes Conservatory, Stanford Olsen from Florida State University, and Dr. Robert C. White Jr. at the Aaron Copeland School of Music. Daniel debuted as performer in 1998 in the “Pirates of Penzance” under founder Richard Conrad of the Boston Academy of Music. Other opera theater roles include Rodolfo of La Boheme, Ernesto of Don Pasquale, Nero Coronation of Poppea, Ferrando of Cosi Fan Tutte.

In 2000 Daniel directed and produced his first work called “The Resurrection.” In 2001 Daniel debuted as lead actor in “Romanza” (a play about 911) at Coconut Grove Playhouse.

Tami Orama is co-director and lead soprano soloist for the Orama Theater Company. Tami felt her passion for theater as early as five years old when she began dancing. Throughout her primary and secondary school years, she performed in many plays including leading roles in the Wizard of Oz, Rumplestilskin and Heidi. Tami began theater studies at the Fantasy Playhouse, and continued performing in local theater companies throughout the New York area. She continued her vocal performance studies with legendary soprano, Dr. Martha Smith. While at the Aaron Copeland School of Music, she studied with Dr. Robert C. White Jr. and Doris Lang Kosloff. She completed her degree in Vocal Performance Education at the University of Connecticut under the tutelage of Dr. Virginia Pyle.

In 2003, Tami suffered an illness causing her to lose complete hearing in her right ear. Tami persevered, and continued singing with half deafness in local churches. Tami continues to sing professionally, drawing strength and creativity from her illness.

Tami currently resides in New York along with her husband Daniel, and their two daughters.
