The Marine Sciences Research Center (MSRC) is the State University of New York's center for marine and atmospheric research, education, and public service. More than 200 students from 16 different nations currently work and study at MSRC. The Center's students study coastal oceanographic processes and atmospheric sciences in a natural and academic setting that offers abundant opportunities for conducting field work, solving real problems in both local and distant environments, and learning to express their opinions in the weekly seminars. www.msrc.sunysb.edu

Staller Center for the Arts named in memory of Max and Mary Staller, offers a wide variety of performances from September through May and a summer film series in July and August. WUSB Since 1977, we have served the campus and Long Island listening communities with a diverse broadcast mix of music, news, public affairs, drama and sports programming. Our 24 hour a day schedule is made possible by a volunteer staff efforts of over 160 USB students, faculty, staff, alumni and community residents. Behind-the-scenes as well as on-air work, combined with a variety of nationally syndicated radio programs integrated into the schedule, creates the 168 hours per week of innovative and high-quality programming. The Stony Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps (SBVAC) is a New York State Certified Ambulance corporation. SBVAC primarily serves the Community at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, however, we do also serve other parts of Suffolk County when we a approached with requests for “mutual aid” by other Emergency Medical Services agencies within the county. At any given time our members consist EMT-D 's, EMT-CC 's, EMT-P's, attendants certified with American Red Cross’s certification for Responding to Emergencies, and CPR certified probationary members. At the moment we are one of the few collegiate based ambulance companies that run on an Advanced Life Support (ALS) level in addition to being a Basic Life Support Ambulance (BLS). Although SBVAC is a student base volunteer organization, we do not limit our membership to only students; our body of members consists: Students attending/and alumni of SUNY STONY BROOK, faculty of SUNY STONY BROOK, and various other well intentioned members of the Suffolk Community www.sbvac.org

The Long Island High Technology Incubator is situated on a 5-acre parcel at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, a 1,100 acre site on the rural north shore of Long Island in southeastern New York . Suffolk County Community College (SCCC) is the largest community college in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, enrolling 22,000 students at its three campuses in Selden, Brentwood and Riverhead. SCCC offers the Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), and Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree, as well as a variety of certificate programs. Touro College offers the Juris Doctor (J.D.). In addition to a diverse classroom curriculum, students may select from a comprehensive practice-oriented program of Clinics, Rotations, Practice Modules, Public Service Projects and Externships. As part of the dual degree programs, the J.D. may be combined with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) in Health Care, or a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.), allowing students to complete the two degrees with significant time and cost savings. U.S. Merchant Marine Academy is located in Kings Point, New York. Its 82-acre waterside campus lies on Long Island's north shore, about 20 miles east of New York City. The Academy is a national institution, operated by the Federal Government's Maritime Administration, an agency of the U.S. Department of Transportation. The Academy's four-year program centers on a regimental system that instills its students - called midshipmen (a term used for both men and women) - with the traits of leadership, discipline and dedication required for a career that typically may include service at sea, maritime employment ashore, and serving as a commissioned officer in a reserve component of the U.S. Armed Forces. www.usmma.edu
