Kings Point, Long Island
 Kings Point is an incorporated village located in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, New York. It is within the Town of North Hempstead. The neighborhood is on the Great Neck Peninsula and is often grouped together with the other hamlets and villages referred to collectively as “Great Neck”. Kings Point regularly offers a 24-member police force, behind-the-house garbage pickup, and programs to maintain trees. As of the 2000 census, there were 5,076 people, 1,401 households, and 1,203 families residing in the area. The area was taken its name after a landowner and Governor John Alsop King. In the mid-1800s, after King and a relative inherited a strip of land north of Great Neck, a coin toss decided who would get the fertile farmland to the east and who would be stuck with the rocky shoreline and woods. Unfortunately, King was lost and he constructed a home on the rocky shore overlooking Long Island Sound which is now among the most expensive real estate on Long Island. Kings Point became part of a loose group of associations that included Elm Point, Grenwolde, East Shore, and Gracefield. Kings Point and their surrounding areas became incorporated as a village in 1924.

Kennedy Elementary School, the Richard S. Sherman Great Neck North Middle School, and the John L. Miller Great Neck North High School. The neighborhood has two parks. The 13-acre Steppingstone Park and marina offers mooring for more than 300 boats and is also the site of the Steppingstone Waterside Theater. The other one is the 175-acre Kings Point Park which is mostly undeveloped. The park has four tennis courts, three softball fields, playgrounds and a sled hill and cross country ski area. Kings Point also has several private neighborhood associations that offer swimming pools, docks, and other amenities. It is a middle class neighborhood with a home price value starts at about $500,000.
