The neighborhood is considered part of the Greater Roslyn area, which is anchored by the Village of Roslyn. Roslyn Estates has a total area of 0.4 square miles, all of it land. Commuters to Manhattan have a few options. It takes approximately 35 to 40 minutes in the Long Island Rail Road's Port Washington line from nearby Manhasset. As of the 2000 census, there were 1,210 people, 401 households, and 354 families residing in the area.
