The Garden City Hotel, 45 7th Street, Garden City
(Long Island, NY) The Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (LICADD) invites you to attend its 26th Annual Angel Ball Celebrating the Stars of Recovery on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Garden City Hotel. Guests will enjoy a red carpet entrance and reception at 6:30pm, followed by dinner, dancing, and a silent auction at 7:30pm. WABC-TV’s Entertainment Reporter Sandy Kenyon will Emcee.
The Angel Ball will be held in honor of 2013 Founder’s Award Recipient Curtis Webster, CVLE, whose leadership as a board member and past board chair, helped to shape and expand the agency’s comprehensive addiction and recovery support programs. Mr. Webster passed away in 2012, and his wife Georgina Webster and daughter Dawn Leo, will be accepting the award on his behalf.
William C. Moyers, the Vice President of Public Affairs and Community Relations at the Hazelden Foundation and a New York Times best-selling author, is the 2013 Keynote Speaker and Humanitarian Award Recipient.
In one special evening, LICADD will seek to raise the critical funds to provide a year’s worth of life-saving services to thousands of families across Long Island. It’s a daunting goal, and LICADD cannot reach it without your support. Sponsor the event today and support an agency whose 57-year legacy provides hope and healing to children and families dealing with addiction.
Tickets to this premier event are $500, while event and journal sponsorship opportunities are available from $200 to $25,000. Sponsors receive outstanding, prominent recognition, including their listing on LICADD’s high-traffic website, the agency’s widely distributed promotional materials, weekly e-newsletter, media presentations at the event and souvenir journal. Sponsors of the $2000 level and greater will receive a star on our “Hope for Recovery Walk of Fame”- an excellent opportunity to showcase a business at the event or pay tribute to a friend or loved one.
Since it was founded in 1956, LICADD has built a stellar reputation as a community leader and partner to a large network of treatment providers, faith-based organizations, school districts, and government agencies. With offices in Mineola, Ronkonkoma and Riverhead, LICADD is working aggressively to help the community overcome the challenges presented by prevailing social stigma of alcoholism and drug dependence, by providing a comprehensive array of prevention, support and recovery programs.
LICADD’s programs are made possible by the support of business owners, treatment providers, community leaders, parents and local residents like you.
