Shop for a Cause: Animal Rescue Groups Hold Yard Sale To Benefit Abandoned and Abused Animals
(Sound Beach, NY) Volunteers for Animal Welfare Inc., will hold a yard sale on April 20th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rocky Point Property Owners Association clubhouse on Clubhouse Drive in Rocky Point. The volunteers will be joined by members of Regina Quinn Legacy Fund for animals and environmental compassion, Friends of Ferals and other cat rescue groups, according to Rita Miszuk, President of Volunteers for Animal Welfare, Inc., a 501C3 rescue group.
Donations of saleable items, including costume jewelry, small furniture, paintings and other gently used items for the yard sale are being accepted, Miszuk said. For more information about donating or to make a tax free cash donation call 631-331-4779 or email: miszuk@yahoo.com.
The proceeds from this event will be used for food, shelter and medical expenses for rescued animals. “We provide caretakers for these animals for the rest of their lives,” explained Miszuk.
Volunteers for Animal Welfare Inc is dedicated to helping an overwhelming number of forgotten companion animals who are victims of the current economic crisis. With your assistance and support, we hope to continue our efforts to reduce the numbers of unwanted cats, through our program of feeding, neutering and finding homes for healthy, friendly animals. With proper resources, we can provide medical care for those in greatest need. For more information contact, Rita Miszuk at 631-331-4779 or email her at rmiszuk@yahoo.com
