Astoria Federal Savings Supports Winthrop-University Hospital’s Child Life Program
(Lake Success, NY) Astoria Federal Savings recently presented Winthrop-University Hospital with an annual grant for its Child Life Program, to help children better cope with the fear and anxiety associated with hospitalization. Winthrop’s certified child life specialists at the center utilize therapeutic play, arts, crafts, entertainment and playful education to ensure that the hospital experience is as stress-free as possible for children and their families.
