Club Loaded Celebrates 3 Years Bringing Live Music to Long Island!
February 8th, 2007 (Farmingdale, NY) Journey down Route 110 in Farmingdale and you’ll come across a true Long Island landmark, The Crazy Donkey. This has been the site of many a hard partying and hard rocking LI night over it’s five year run as the premier nightclub on the scene. In early 2003 with the demise of the areas top venue “The Downtown” all but a certainty, a vaccuum was created and veteran promoter/record label executive Dave R. decided it was the perfect time to take his boutique booking services to the next level. He created Club Loaded with his own money and a dream; combine many hours of hard work and the contacts made in his fifteen years in the business, add in the support of longtime influential club owner Gus Smertgis and his partners at The Crazy Donkey, and you have a local sucess story in the making. In three short years Dave has truly created something special on the Nassau/Suffolk line; and rest assured he has a great time doing it.
Takling a roll call of the musicians who have graced the Club Loaded at the Crazy Donkey concert series is a veritable who’s who of the current music business. Club Loaded Rock Shows have booked and/or promoted over 300 shows in the last 3 years on Long Island and the tri-state area including: George Clinton and the P-Funk, Coheed & Cambria, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Smithereens, Head Automatica, Glassjaw, Paramore, Atmosphere, actor James Masters, Testament & many more and these acts have started to call Club Loaded their Long Island home base when touring the area, and with good reason. The quality of shows and the overall attitude of the staff also make them feel welcome, and this nurturing spirit virtually ensures that Club Loaded is far from a passing fade. Plus, Club Loaded also has a public relations professional and one of the areas top design and street marketing teams on retainer and even host their own radio show on Radio X, which futher allows acts more complete exposure to the market while they are here.
