Huntington Elks Presented Proclamation to Jack Safarik
(Long Island, NY) The Huntington Town Board presented a proclamation to Jack Safarik, Former Exalted Ruler of the Huntington Elks Lodge at the end of 2012. November was officially named “Elks for Vets Month” within the Town of Huntington. Due to Tropical Storm Sandy, the proclamation was not able to be presented at the Town Board Meeting but was instead personally presented several weeks later by Councilwoman Susan Berland.
“I want to thank the Huntington Town Board for supporting our community organization and for taking the time to present this proclamation,” Safarik said. “Part of our efforts center around our veterans, recognizing what they have done for us as a country and thanking them for all that they have given to the local community. The Huntington Elks appreciates the support of our town as we fulfill our mission and support our veterans.”
