Journey down Route 110 in Farmingdale and you’ll come across a true Long Island landmark, The Crazy Donkey. This has been the site of many a hard partying and hard rocking Long Island night over it’s five year run as the premier nightclub on the scene. In early 2003 with the demise of the areas top venue “The Downtown”, a void was created and veteran record executive/manager/promoter Dave R decided it was the perfect time to take his boutique booking services to the next level. Based out of the Crazy Donkey, he created LOADED ROCK SHOWS; combine many hours of hard work and the contacts made in his fifteen years in the business, add in the support of longtime friend and influential club owner Gus Smertgis and his partners at The Crazy Donkey, and you have a local success story in the making. The intention was to keep Rock ‘N Roll alive on Long Island and in three short years Dave & Gus have truly created something special; rest assured they have a great time doing it.
LOADED ROCK SHOWS have booked and/or promoted over 300 national act and local band shows in the last 3 years on Long Island and tri-state area (75% of which at the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale) including: George Clinton and the P-Funk, Coheed & Cambria, Butch Walker, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Smithereens, Head Automatica, Glassjaw, Paramore, Atmosphere, actor James Masters, Testament, the list goes on and on. LOADED ROCK SHOWS has a team of professionals specializing in booking and promotion, a high volume website www.clubloaded.com  (7500+ hits per month), and they even host their own radio show on Long Island’s Radio X FM (94.9 , 94.7 or 104.5) and worldwide online at radiox.fm every Saturday night from 6pm-10pm; appropriately called THE LOADED ROCK SHOW (With Dave R and Jess Katz); which further allows acts complete exposure in the Long Island market while they are here.
