Islip Terrace, NY, December 2006 – Mercy Haven, Inc. located at 859 Connetquot Ave – Suite 10, is proud to host a FREE informative end of life seminar on January 24th at 7:00 pm. Speaker and expert Patricia Hartigan, RSM, ESQ. – is a Sister of Mercy and a licensed attorney who received her J.D. from CUNY Law School at Queens College will cover the topics of living wills, durable power of attorney, health care proxy, Medicaid planning, last will and testament, trusts, guardianships, and long-term health care insurance. This workshop is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and those attending are encouraged to come and ask questions, THIS IS NOT A SALES PITCH but informative workshop.
DESCRIPTION:
Patricia Hartigan, RSM, ESQ. – is a Sister of Mercy and a licensed attorney who received her J.D. from CUNY Law School at Queens College. She maintains a private legal practice with special emphasis on Elder Law, estate planning, advanced directives, trusts, long term care insurance and guardianships.
Sister is an experienced national and local speaker and a workshop developer and facilitator on systemic change having presented over thirty workshops nationally on that topic alone. Her background includes being an educator, advocate for women, children and elders and a non-governmental observer at the United Nations. She also served as Justice Coordinator for the Brooklyn Regional Community of the Sisters of Mercy and the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the AmericasÂ
