(Rockville Centre, NY) – Village of Rockville Centre Mayor Francis Murray joined with Town of Hempstead Senior Councilman Anthony Santino, Rockville Centre Trustee Ed Oppenheimer, Village Administrator Keith Spadaro, and Rockville Centre Little League President Thomas Bucaria to kick off the league’s 2013 season at the annual Opening Day Parade.
The Little League parade marched up Maple Avenue to Hickey Field. As in previous years the Opening Day festivities also included a food drive. The players collected over 2,000 lbs. of food to be shared with various food pantries that provide food to those in need in Rockville Centre.
