(New York, NY) New Yorkers Against Gun Violence (NYAGV) announced today the appointment of Alexandra Dubroff as Coordinator for the Hudson Valley. She will assist NYAGV with its outreach, education and advocacy efforts.
Ms. Dubroff is based near Poughkeepsie and is a graduate of SUNY Stony Brook. A former Vice President at a major bank and now a stay-at-home mom to two young children, Dubroff said, “As a mother, I am so proud to live in New York State because it was the first state to pass gun safety legislation after the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Having lived in Sandy Hook, I was compelled to find my voice and become an outspoken advocate for gun safety. For the last two years, I have been working tirelessly to help effect change. I am thrilled to be working with NYAGV as they advocate for additional trail-blazing measures to make our families, children and communities safer.”
“Alexandra Dubroff is a passionate advocate for gun safety and will enhance our advocacy and education efforts in the Hudson Valley. She will ensure that we continue the tremendous progress we have made to make New York a national model for sensible gun policy,” said NYAGV Executive Director, Leah Gunn Barrett.
