Howard Beach Petco™ Celebrates its Grand Reopening the Weekend of April 27- 28, 2013
(Howard Beach, NY) – Many businesses in the wake of Hurricane Sandy were devastated after the storm ripped through the east coast. Like many local stores, the Petco™ in Howard Beach, NY has taken the past six months to rebuild.
However, after many months the store is planning to reopen its doors for the first time during a grand opening celebration April 26-28, 2013 highlighted by an adoption event to help local shelter animals in need. The opening is just one more step to help get life back to normal after the tragedy and another sign that the community is resilient.
The store, located at 157-20 Cross Bay Blvd., is inviting the neighborhood to join in their reopening celebration. The festivities will feature pet adoptions, giveaways, discounted services and a variety of activities to introduce the new store and its team to the community. In addition, qualified Petco employees will be on hand to educate customers about caring for their pet’s whole health, which includes their physical, mental, social and emotional needs.

The new Howard Beach Petco will offer local pet parents everyday necessities and a wide-variety of high quality food options, including natural, organic and raw food selections. The store will proudly host numerous pet adoption events throughout the year to help local rescues and shelters find homes for the many animals in need. They will also host monthly Meet the Critters events, which are complimentary interactive educational forums for families such as the annual hit, Reptile Rally.
