(Long Island, NY) On Wednesday, May 1st, Save Long Island will be hosting a night about the advent of Smart Meters on Long Island. Nationwide controversy has been growing due to these seemingly innocuous devices, but the truth about them is anything pleasant and LIPA, the company which did so glowing a job during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy is now doing a pilot program of installing them along Route 110 with little fanfare.

The reasons for their apparent silence over this action will be made quite clear on this night so please come down where we will be showing video(s) made by those who are already fighting against these devices all across our country.
After this night you will know why LIPA is silent about them: it’s because if you knew about these actions, you’d investigate these devices and then you’d demand that LIPA threw them in the trash where they belong. So come down and have your perspective on the reality you THINK you live in expanded just a little more.
