(Stony Brook, NY) – With a brutal winter finally behind us, we all deserve a fun filled day of celebrating spring and one is planned in Stony Brook Village Center! Spring Appreciation Day will take place Saturday, April 27 starting at noon.
Aside from the simple beauty of this historic area, visitors can enjoy the award-winning Goat on a Boat Puppet Theatre performing “The Princess, the Frog & the Pea” at 3 pm, a Petting Zoo from 1 to 4 pm, the annual “Spring Into Art” K-12 Art Show starting at 11 am, “Long Island’s Got Talent” semi-finalist performances and live music with WALK-FM along with “Walkie Bear” from 1 to 3 pm. There will be storewide sales, demos and more and with 35 stores, 7 restaurants and a stunning harbor view it won’t be hard to spend the day.
Admission and all events are free with the exception of the horse-drawn carriage rides starting at 1 pm which are $3 pp. Rain date is Sunday, April 28.
