(Long Island, NY) The Diocese of Rockville Centre is proud to announce the appointment of Mrs. Claire Ficarra-Gohn, a Farmingdale resident, as the new Assistant Principal of Student Services at St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School.
Prior to her arrival at St. John’s, Mrs. Ficarra-Gohn taught English and Technology at Holy Trinity Diocesan High School in Hicksville before being appointed to the position of Assistant Principal in 2005. Mrs. Gohn earned a B.A. from Siena College, an M.S. from St. John’s University and a M.S. Ed. from Fordham University. She has taught at Monsignor Farrell High School in Staten Island, Holy Trinity Diocesan High School in Hicksville and St. John’s University in Queens. She is a NYS Certified Secondary School Administrator and is looking forward to working with the students, families and faculty in her role as Assistant Principal.
Ms. Nan Doherty, Principal, said “We are thrilled to welcome her to St. John’s and know that she will become an integral part of the life and energy of our school.”
