Sponsors for the event included Easthamptonstudio.com, Enclaveinn.com and Sparkling Pointe Winery.
Michael Wudyka from Easthamptonstudio.com chatted with me about the importance of bringing awareness about breast cancer. Representative Diana Molvanie from Sparkling Pointe Winery, event sponsor, spoke about the benefits of drinking wine in preventing cancer.
The soul of Sparkling Pointe was born more than twenty years ago, when Tom and Cynthia Rosicki first met at a debutante ball at the Waldorf Astoria. Weeks later, with a bottle of Champagne they toasted their first date. Cruising the Chesapeake Bay on their honeymoon, still only months later, they stocked their boat with many vintages and types of champagnes and sparkling wines. Through the years, they became lovers of the romance and magic of champagne.
Sparkling Pointe Winery is an architectural beauty in the style of an elegant French Country Manor. From the soaring double-height tasting room, exquisite Venetian crystal chandeliers to the mesmerizing vineyard views and private VIP Bubble Room, this unique venue creates an effervescence in itself in shades of silver and gold that make this winery famous. This opulent venue dazzles the senses and celebrates all that the North Fork has to offer.

In addition, 100% of the sales from the Donna Karan designed tee KTTC tee shirt will go to their local charity partner, Babe Zaharias Memorial Events and the American Cancer Society.
In the men’s department on Sat Oct 23rd the event included:

* Fashion Designer Robert Stock personal appearance and shirt signing from 1-4pm with a 2pm dad and son fashion show
* Robert Graham photo booth – Guitar hero contest to win a free pair of Diesel jeans from 12-5pm
* Drinks served in men’s department all day with complimentary mini-men’s facials from Art of Shaving 2-6pm.
During the event I had the pleasure of interviewing Fashion Designer Robert Stock from the Robert Graham Designer Label.
Cognac Wellerlane interviews Fashion Designer Robert Stock the man behind the designer brand Robert Graham at Saks Fifth Avenue in the Walt Whitman Mall for the LongIslandExchange.com
By the time he designed the first Robert Graham Collection in 2001, Robert Stock had accomplished a great deal during his extensive career in the fashion business. Stock’s own story has been a journey that has taken him from a childhood in the Bronx to a highly successful career as a designer.
He formed his point of view at an early age taking his fashion cues from his father’s love for beautifully tailored dress shirts. As a young man, Stock favored Saville Row style, an influence that continues to resonate today in the Robert Graham line, with its impeccable quality, exquisite detailing and wry, subtle wink of British-inspired humor.
At a very young age Stock’s talent and eye landed him a partnership with Ralph Lauren – a fellow Bronx native whom Stock first met when Lauren was selling a tie and cologne line to the owner of the clothing store where Stock worked in the mid 1960’s. Stock ultimately ended up partnering with Lauren on his highly successful Chaps collections. It didn’t take long for the men’s wear industry to recognize Robert Stock as a rising star with abundant talent and potential. Always a sportswear designer with a penchant for woven tops, Stock single-handedly created the sand washed silk phenomenon and to this day his signature sand washed silk shirts are regarded as classics.
In 2000 Stock decided to take a challenge. With every collection looking as safe and uninspired as the next, he saw a big opportunity to design something fresh and unique and established the brand Robert Graham in 2001.
Robert Graham was founded in 2001 and is an American Eclectic luxury brand based out of New York City. The name of the company is an amalgam of its two founders, Robert Stock, the award-winning American fashion designer and Graham Fowler, an English textile designer who left the company in 2002 a year after its inception.
“I sense that the emotions I experience when designing Robert Graham products are similar to the emotions people have when wearing them,” says Founder and Designer Robert Stock. “Expressing yourself without reservation, without explanation, just feeling confident. Enjoying a life well lived. That is my vision for Robert Graham.”
Admirers have come to discover its witty, engaging and accessible sense of individuality. They enjoy wearing the collections as much as Stock enjoys designing them. It’s an attitude that carries through to the “Knowledge Wisdom Truth” label integrated discreetly into every garment. “Those three little words sum it all up,” Stock notes. “They are the essence of what I am looking to communicate.”
Along the way, Stock has received the coveted Coty Award and the Prestigious Cutty Sark Award for Leading American Men’s Sportswear Designer. He has also been honored by FIT at its annual Star Salute at the United Nations in 1995 and by YMA at its Annual Scholarship Fund Awards in 2000. Robert Stock is married with two children and currently resides in Connecticut.
Afterwards I interviewed jewelry designer Barry Brinker. Barry Brinker has been creating collectable gems for over twenty years. His background in design, architecture and art supports the unique perspective presented in his innovative jewelry collections.
Mr. Brinker is a part time resident of Hong Kong and travels extensively throughout Asia in search of the finest antiquities, pearls and rare gemstones. Mr. Brinker works in both sterling silver and 18k gold, designing four primary collections for both men and women each year. Numerous celebrity clients are fans of Barry Brinker Fine Jewelry. His memorable treasures have created a loyal following. with one’s first acquisition, they feel compelled to come back for more!
