The Projectladybug.org mission is to give assistance to patients and their families which is rarely given by other local and national organizations. The Fund will give preference to seriously ill young children who are being treated for cancer or other life-threatening childhood diseases. By providing ancillary services and support to the most needy patients at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, the Ladybug Fund will help to meet the needs of seriously ill and less fortunate patients in our region.
The Ferrari Rally draws A-listers, jet-setters, celebrities, socialites, media, business moguls and Ferrari aficionados.

As founder of the Ferrari Rally, Fashion, restaurant and nightlife entrepreneur Nathaniel Christian hosted the event. Mr. Christian is an avid Ferrari enthusiast and collector who credits his passion and fondness for the history and craftsmanship of the Ferrari brand as his inspiration for hosting the event.
The rally was previously postponed from an earlier date because of poor weather conditions.
The Ferrari brand was originally founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1929 as Scuderia Ferrari. The firm sponsored drivers and manufactured race cars before moving into production of street legal vehicles as Ferrari S.P.A.in 1947. Throughout its history the company has been noted for its continued participation in racing especially in Formula One where it has enjoyed much success.
The famous symbol of the Ferrari race team is the Cavallino Rampante “prancing horse” a black prancing stallion on a yellow shield, usually with the letters SF for Scuderia Ferrari with three stripes of green, white and red, Italy’s national colors appearing at the top. The road cars have a rectangular badge on the hood.
At the start, Ferrari has been involved in motorsport competing in a range of categories including Formula One and sports car racing through its Scuderia Ferrari sporting division as well as supplying cars and engines to other teams and for one make series.

As the summer of 2010 starts to wrap up in the Hamptons, Wines by Morrell held The East End Festival of the Senses, a multi-faceted cultural event this past Saturday, August 28. Wines by Morrell hosted free wine, food, art and live music performed by musician William Falkenburg from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. to benefit lung cancer research.
Founded in 2001,the organization Uniting Against Lung Cancer is now the largest source of private funding for lung cancer research in North America. Uniting is recognized as the source of “venture capital” for lung cancer research. More Americans die from lung cancer each year than colon, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers combined.
Artist, Edith Ingenhaag’s art work, Dreams of Yesterday, was donated for the silent auction and 100% of the proceeds from this painting will benefit Uniting Against Lung Cancer. During our interview Ms. Ingenhaag’s revealed, “My father died of lung cancer that was the reason why I wanted to do an event where 30% of the sale of the paintings goes to the organization and I also donated a painting for $2,000, hopefully there will be a lot of bids where we can give a lot of money to the organization.”
Uniting Against Lung Cancer Board Member, Tess Wachs, reveals “We are very grateful to ‘Wines by Morrell’ for making Uniting Against Lung Cancer the recipient of Edith Ingenhaag’s beautiful work. Lung cancer is the leading cancer killer in the United States, and her generosity brings much needed awareness to our mission.”
Art has always been a part of Edith Ingenhaag’s life. As a young woman she first learned how to blend colors at a German school and later received additional training in the U.S. with Linda Salomon and the late David Porter.
Her inspiration comes from the gorgeous landscapes of Germany. One of her adventures was sailing for a year in the Caribbean gazing upon many delicate sunrises and saturated sunsets off the ocean waters. She also spent five months in Venezuela, hiked the Andes and was captivated by the mountains.
Edith continues to illustrate the inspiration from her journeys around the world. Ms.Ingenhaag spends the winters in Florida and the summers in East Hampton. Edith finds the light in both areas very conducive to painting.

Cognac interviews Kelly Ripa at the Amarilyis Horse Rescue Event in Bridgehampton
Amaryllis Farm has been in operation since 1989 as an educational facility. Their mission is to intercept slaughter bound former service horses, ponies and mules, teach riding lessons for children’s camps, shows, races, and police.
Amaryllis Farm also finds horses loving homes under the protection of their contract. They offer permanent sanctuary to those equines unable to adapt to an adoptive home, the elderly and special needs equines.
Amaryllis Farms presents educational lectures throughout Long Island and focuses strongly on teaching children to treat all animals with dignity and compassion.
To fund their mission they offer horsemanship and riding lessons. Amaryllis Rescue Farm does not jump their horses. You may lease a horse or become a sponsor for feed, veterinary care or even provide carrots! Amaryllis Rescue Farm provides the love and care horses deserve.
ABC-7 TV Host from “Regis and Kelly” Kelly Ripa revealed in our interview, “You know I didn’t know anything about Amaryllis Farm Rescue at all until my daughter was lucky enough to be invited to a birthday party which sole purpose was to raise money for Amaryllis Farms. She really is into riding her pony, she loves horses so much she would live at a stable if I would let her and she really taught me to love horses as much as she does.”
You can make a difference in a Horse’s Life. Saving horses requires skill, time, supplies, love, patience, and donations!
